Deadpool and Detective Pikachu starer celebrity Ryan Reynolds has purchased an ownership stake by funding in US wireless network company Mint Mobile.
The 43 year old Canadian celebrity currently owns 25% of stake in the, news posted by GSMArena.
In a declaration, Mint explained that Mr Reynolds will be collaborating with Mint’s communications and marketing campaigns in addition to tactical decision-making”.
Mint started operations in October of this year, leading to cheaper pre-paid strategies for low income households.
“It is a little unconventional, which is why I enjoy it,” said Mr Reynolds. “Celebrities generally purchase high-end products such as skincare brands businesses. Nevertheless Mint is creating wireless way less expensive at a time once the typical American is spending $65 per month. I am eager to bring a perfect solution in this unsaturated technology”
Mr Reynolds joked on Twitter ” Newest @_MintMobile customer. Also, owner of the company. To keep things above board, I’ll be paying myself $15 a month #MintOwner”.
The prices of MVNOs are an increasing phase in the mobile operator area, in the United States, only 7 in each 100 wireless readers uses an MVNO, but after the T-Mobile and Sprint Corporation merger in America, the userbase is expected to grow.
With Hollywood presence from Mr Reynolds who also has a significant social networking existence (33.8 million and 15 million followers on Instagram and Twitter respectively). Mint will probably be seeking much more interested from youngsters.
