Apple, a company with a trillion dollars in valuation has always been ahead of its competition. They have numerous successful products selling across the globe and one such product is Macbook. However, even a company like Apple couldn’t avoid criticism for butterfly keyboards in their Macbooks.
To turn that around Apple has file a patent for a new kind of keyboard for its Macbooks. they’re called RGB keyboards with glass keycaps. This can be a great move to increase the durability of the keyboard and as the patent suggests it might also bring some other potential features alongside.
The Cupertino based tech giant wants to change the Macbook keyboard because all the letters, symbols, and numbers are all imprinted on the top of a key, so the markings usually end up fading or rubbing because of constant usage.
To solve this problem Apple is working on a keycap on the keyboard that includes a key body on the to surface. The upper external surface will be made of glass and the sign of the key will be inside that glass rather than being printed on it.
Thus, the problem of fading and rubbing of the marking will be solved and the keyboards will be an additional layer of protection.
