We, all bloggers dream to make a successful blog with a lot of engaging audiences that leaves comments, share content, regularly returns and recommend the blog to others. That’s why we always pray for more traffic. More traffic means more chance to build engaged audiences, means an increase of earning. Although, most bloggers fail to build a trusted blog reader channel and struggle for traffic on their blog.
One of the best ways to increase your blog traffic by doing proper SEO on your blog. SEO is not only the best way but also the most important factor for getting traffic to your blog. SEO can be hard to understand even for an experienced blogger because it’s always changing. So, while SEO is always changing, you need to do something to help your blog rank high in SERPs.
In this post, I am going to share some tips with you that I use regularly (some of them I wish I used before). So, read this articles, implement this proven SEO technique to blog and increase your site traffic with confidence. Highly Recommended – How to earn extra money through your Blog/website.
1. Create Post for readers –
At the beginning, SEO was more for search engines and less for users. But after a lot of update and changes SEO is now focusing only on user engagement to your blog.
So just stay focus on your quality content. Research well about the topic before writing and forget about keyword research. A quality content helps you to reduce bounce rate and rank high on SERPs.
Different bloggers have the different experience with the long and short article. However, many bloggers found that a well-research long-form content helps your readers to engage in a long time. It also helps you with long tail keywords. It increases traffic, readership, subscriber, and social sharing.
2. Use embedded media –
This is one of my favorite SEO technique. Use embedded media (mostly YouTube videos) to engage your visitors for more time. A 2-minutes YouTube videos can help you to reduce bounce rate. Also, help you to qualify as ‘highly engaged’ site.
3. Update older content –
Google not only force the blogger to focus on readership but also Google try to serve fresh and relevant content to searchers. You may already notice a publishing date before most of the search description. This is an issue where you should care more. Most time an old post from the past is no longer considered as useful, neither Google nor its searchers. So try to update your article with some new information time to time and hope for an increase in your blog traffic.

4. Use shorter permalink –
Make your article’s permalink (URL) shorter. Google’s target for reader engagement also presents here. They want to make URLs more human readable. Long junky URLs on SERPs is not considered as readable by Google nor to its users. On the other hand, a short URL gives a quick view of your content which is good for searchers. Additionally, shorter URLs are easier to remember and good for social sharing.
5. Make your theme ready for every device –
Google is showing an extra effort to the responsive mobile friendly site so readers can experience best viewed on multiple devices with comfort. If your blog still running strong with non-mobile friendly design, chances are high that google is going to give your blog penalties soon.
SEO is ever changing method, so no one can’t track their algorithm properly. But as long as you are focusing on user comfort, you may no longer need to worry about SEO and SERPs. There is some proven on-page SEO technique that you can use, but nothing more than that.
