Recently, Spotify is seen to be very active in the podcast space. The Stockholm, Sweden based company is busy in acquiring rights from different podcasters and try to build its own conventional podcast platform. The multi-million deal with Joe Rogan is a good example.
Another exceptional deal for Spotify was with former US president Barack Obama and former first lady’s company called Higher Ground. Their first podcast called “There Michelle Obama” is out on Spotify.
Now, the more interesting thing related to the podcast is Spotify is trying a new Quote sharing feature with it. The feature lets users get access to the quotes said in the podcast. The Spotify algorithm randomly picks quotes and shows it to you. As of now the feature is only available in the mobile version.
How Spotify is reeling out quotes from the entire podcast is still unknown, but as the feature is still in the testing phase, further revelations and improvements are expected.
“At Spotify, we routinely conduct a number of tests in an effort to improve our user experience. Some of those tests end up paving the path for our broader user experience and others serve only as an important learning,” Spotify’s official statement to Engadget.
At last, users can share all the quotes at different social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter etc.
