Google Chrome is the default browser that comes with most of the Android devices nowadays. However, the instructions to enable the Desktop Version of Gmail is same across all the web browsers. The process isn’t big or complicated, it takes only a couple of seconds to perform.

Step 1: Launch the Google Chrome Browser or preferred browser on your Android device.

Step 2: Visit the official Gmail website or any other site that you want to have in desktop mode.

Step 3: Open the options menu tapping on the three vertically placed dots on the top right corner of your screen.

Step 4: Select the “Request For Desktop” option from the menu and wait for a few seconds.

How To Request Gmail Desktop Version On iPhone:

Go ahead with the following steps if you’re accessing the Gmail site on your iPhone or iPad. Although, the below mentioned steps are primarily for Safari browsers, you can try them in other browsers as well.

  1. Open the Safari or any other browser that you installed on your iOS device.
  2. Now enter the URL of the site that you wish to access it in desktop mode. (Ex: Gmail)
  3. Locate the refresh icon on your browser and long press it.
  4. Select the “Request For Desktop” option from the list when prompted.
  5. Done!! The site will load in its desktop version and you can access its full features.

You can follow these steps to view the desktop version of pretty much any site, if it has one, of course, on your smartphone.
